Chablis Grand Cru "Réserve de l'Obédience" 1998, Domaine Laroche

My long-time wine-tasting pal Richard Chan (whom I rarely see since he is in rainy Seattle) has contributed these notes from a recent tasting at Veil Restaurant. Ultra smooth and silky with a density of olive oil. Very typical flinty, nutty and minerally nose, the mid-palate is soft and lush with notes of lime, bread crust and fresh baked piecrust. The sweetness comes out with the extremely long and lingering finish. [I find these notes revealing. They identify Richard as a lush pie-eating individual who puts olive oil in his wine! Superior photography though...].

    lol...Yes, I love pie and I only add oil to wine when I make sauce. :)
